After 18 years of writing here on www.massagepracticebuilder.com, I have turned it all into ONE book. You can now read every post updated and revised in Massage Practice Builder – The Book.
After all these years I of sharing what I know and have learned, I am turning it over to YOU now.
It is your turn to write about what you know and share it with others. I started with this website and also wrote a few other books.
Step by step guide to writing a book
- Just start writing. Start writing in by hand in an actual notebook. Start writing on a free blog from WordPress.com. Just start writing in anyway you can. Start with whatever software you have – Word works fine.
- Create an outline for your book idea. This will give you a place to start but know that it not written in stone and it will change and grow as your writing evolves.
- Don’t worry about grammar, spelling and formatting and things like that. That is what editors are for. Just keep writing.
- Start learning about self publishing by going through Amazon’s Direct Publishing site to get the templates and specific technical requirements for formatting books and kindle books.
Why do I want YOU to write a book?
It is mainly about the process. It is about sharing what you know. That is why I write mainly – to share what I know. I am not good at speaking in public so you won’t find me teaching, except for I am now thinking about creating an online class for insurance billing. It has been my way to express myself. I am not a good writer at all. I write how I would talk to others. I don’t think about writing. I don’t worry about it. I just write.
There are many books on many topics in massage business and ethics, but yours will be uniquely YOU!
I actually started writing by writing up my notes from massage school (www.massageschoolnotes.com) and it went on from there.
Write about your journey and what you have learned and what you know.
